Ellie Jackson began her career in the insurance industry in 2021 as an apprentice and has since progressed to become Managing Director at Robert Gerrard & Co, part of the Jensten Group. Her career exemplifies the opportunities that apprenticeships can create, underpinned by exceptional leadership, commercial acumen, and an unwavering commitment to developing both people and business performance.
Supported by Jensten’s mentoring initiatives and the Leading Lights leadership development programme, Ellie has consistently demonstrated the ability to combine strategic vision with hands-on leadership. She has played a pivotal role in driving business growth, strengthening client relationships, and fostering a high-performing, people-focused culture.
After completing her Level 3 Insurance Practitioner Apprenticeship and achieving both her Certificate and Diploma in Insurance (Dip CII), Ellie has continued to invest in her professional development while championing learning and progression across her teams.
Throughout her career, Ellie has delivered a number of significant achievements, including becoming the first person at Robert Gerrard & Co to lead the launch of an international scheme, successfully expanding Lift Plan into the Republic of Ireland. She also led a highly successful cyber insurance campaign and founded the Pipeline Club, a mentoring initiative designed to support and develop future talent within the business.
Alongside her commercial success, Ellie has been a passionate advocate for inclusion and employee engagement. As a former Employee Engagement Champion and former Chair of Jensten’s Gender Balance Employee Resource Group, she has helped shape a more inclusive culture while mentoring colleagues and encouraging others to realise their full potential.
Ellie’s leadership and contribution to both her organisation and the wider insurance profession have been recognised through industry award nominations, including Young Insurance Woman of the Year. Now serving as Managing Director, she continues to lead by example, inspiring the next generation of insurance professionals while driving innovation, growth, and excellence across the business.
