The team at Robert Gerrard always looks forward to Liftex International. With so many customers dotted about the country, it’s often a good chance to put faces to names, and that’s something that’s really important to us.
We managed to see more than 50 of our valued clients over the two days we spent at London’s ExCeL. It’s particularly good because we get to boost our bonds and strengthen customer relationships, which has always been one of our key values. Gill Collins our Lift Plan administrator; commercial account executives Julie Robinson and Mark Bayford and me and my fellow director and brother Scott Townsend were all on the stand and we were joined by Mark Allen from ACE European Group, the underwriters of Lift Plan.
Apart from meeting up with existing customers, Liftex also gave us the opportunity to talk to potential new ones, and there was lots of interest in our new Lift Inspection Plan and Lift Plan Injury Insurance.
We learnt that there is a real need for an awareness campaign for lift owners, many of which are unaware of their legal responsibilities to have their lifts inspected periodically by a Competent Person. So if you’re reading this and know someone who owns a lift, maybe you could forward them a link to our plan, which is an easy way to let someone else shoulder the burden of having to remember to arrange the inspections and ensure they are carried out in accordance to the regulations.
Feedback on the stand itself was positive: ‘fresh and inviting’ we were told, and everyone loved our ‘dog’ theme. The biscuits went down really well too – we even had a Tweet from another one of the exhibitors asking us to send a plate over!
