Saracens-Allianz Partnership Offers Work Experience Opportunity

The partnership between Allianz and Premiership Rugby giants Saracens has been going strong since the club’s stadium was christened Allianz Park back in 2012.

German financial services and insurance provider Allianz remains the club’s main sponsor, and to celebrate the ongoing relationship, they recently offered one insurance broker the opportunity to nominate a candidate aged 14 to 16 to win a week’s work experience at Saracens, allowing them to gain an insight into the rugby industry.

It pleases me to report that the competition was won by none other than Robert Gerrard. My daughter, Amber Preston, was our nominee and was selected to spend a week working at the club. During her time there Amber got to experience working in a variety of different functions including events, stadium support and marketing.

Amber said, “During the week I overcame many different social challenges as well as being given varied tasks to perform. The team were very friendly towards me and made me feel very welcome”.

She also got to watch the players train, had a tour of Allianz Park and learnt lots of interesting facts about the history of the team.

Summing up on her experience Amber commented: “I would like to give a huge thanks to the Saracens team and to Allianz for giving me the opportunity of a week’s work experience at this wonderful venue.”
