Liftex is always a fantastic opportunity to meet and socialise with many of our clients. It was great to see everyone and to have a chat over a cup of tea and a slice of homemade lemon drizzle cake, which to our pleasant surprise we learnt had gained its own fan following!
This year we made a big point of making our stand an inviting, homely place for people to stop by, rest their legs and have a chat. And our comfy armchairs proved very popular amongst the tired-out lift engineers.
The decision was taken to invest in a lot more space: in fact our stand was double the size this time around. So we were able to see more people and spend quality time rather than simply ‘exhibit’. It definitely boosted our networking opportunities and it was certainly the most successful of the Liftex shows we’ve done over the years.
We met lots of new and prospective clients too from all areas of the industry with whom the Robert Gerrard Lift Plan® went down really well, and we were lucky enough to have lift sector expert Stan Blach working the stand with us whose wealth of industry knowledge and reputation proved very popular.
The official statistics published on the Liftex website show that visitor numbers were up 22%. I think we’d agree. Our statistics improved too: we met with 40 of our existing clients, and took enquiries from 40 prospects.
We are already looking forward to the next show, and planning our cake selection too!
